David and crew from West Coast Movers did an outstanding job. They arrived at my house when they said they would which was 9:00 a.m. After a quick tour of my house, David and crew started working right away. I was impressed by the care they took in protecting my staircase, wrapping my furniture and the overall professionalism that they work by. No cigarette breaks milking the clock, these guys worked their ends off. I would highly recommend West Coast Movers and David's crew.

Worst ever! Read the fine line! They charged me for extra for packing my appliances that was not mentioned in my estimate. Yet, they still broke my 85 inch Samsung TV beyond repair and only offered me less than $40. It costs more to trash the TV properly. This company is a joke and I would not recommend this company to anyone. This move started out at an estimate that was less then $5,000, I ended up paying over $10,000 for this move and I'm left with a broken TV, Piano and a list of items they will only cover pennies on the dollar. I filed a complaint with the BBB and uploaded all of my supporting documents and emails. Look else where for a moving company!

I had incredibly high hopes based on the reviews I read prior to choosing this moving company. Unfortunately, I experienced ZERO of what everyone else here is raving about.

Bit of context: I was moving from a 450 sq ft studio to a 1 bedroom apt. Both locations have easily accessible elevators. The drive between apartments was 25-30 min depending on traffic. The movers arrived, were polite, and assessed what needed to be done.

What was supposed to be a 3 hr move, took 6.5 hrs. I expected to pay around $600, but ended up paying more than $1000 which was VERY frustrating since I took out cash on purpose after I was given my quote a week prior. Not only did the move take DOUBLE the time, but ALL my furniture was damaged or chipped in some way. Scratches all over both my nighstands, the back of my linen beige couch was BLACK since they failed to cover it, my coffee table was cracked in the process, and my bed frame that I've saved so much money to buy, had scratches all over the front part. A few days later, I discovered that my work desk was cracked in the center which made my drawers unusable.

I normally assume good intent, but 5 hours into the move, I became suspicious of whether they were taking a long time on purpose to milk more money out of the move. At one point when I was driving out of my parking garage to meet them at the other location, I saw one mover on the side just texting on his cell phone, which of course made me suspicious. My red flag alert was also raised when one mover disclosed to me that this was only his 4th move at the company.

I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in the quality of this service. I did not receive the service that everyone else here had raved about, which is why I even decided to choose this company in the first place. I was in contact with their team about the damage done to my furniture, but they've seemed to have disappeared after I sent them all the photos of my damaged furniture.

TLDR —  if you decide to hire this moving company, be prepared to not receive the top notch service that others have raved about on here.

Movers arrived on-time, they were pleasant, hard working and efficient. They didn't do anything in an unnecessary manner, which I appreciated given its an hourly rate. They took care of my items and followed my directions on key things. Overall, probably the best experience I've ever had with a moving company. I highly recommend

They quoted me $800 for our move and when it was all done, they said that’ll be over $4,000! We only have a 1 bed apartment moving from LA TO SD. We couldn’t afford this but were stuck with this massive bill and they wouldn’t do anything about it. They were working overtime for us for several hours but we didn’t realize it. They just kept working without warning us.

I had initially booked a different company only to have them do a bait and switch and try to charge me more money. Robert was able to get me rebooked for my move with very short notice.

The biggest issue on the day of the actual move was some issues with missed phone calls. The crew of Jake, Darkhan, Sam, and Arthur were super professional and definitely hustled. I had some antique and heavy pieces that are not easy to move and they got it done no problem. Moving is always going to be expensive and stressful but I'm really glad I trusted my gut and went with West Coast. Thanks guys!

David, Terry, and Vadim made our move immeasurably less stressful! They have a fast, efficient system for getting everything in and out safely and on a tight time frame. David was able to help give us direction with packing up our last minute items which was much appreciated as we were feeling a bit hectic and scatter brained! He was also able to take apart our bed easily with his tools, despite there being a couple of stripped screws involved. They also had a ton of blankets, wrap, and boxes to protect furniture and delicate items. I would absolutely call them again. Everyone had a can-do mindset and helped find solutions to any tricky packing / moving issues that came up. Everyone wore masks, and I can't say enough good things about them personally and professionally. Very cool crew we were happy to hang out with for the day. Ask for David, Terry, and Vadim!

After reading the reviews, I was casually intrigued to get an estimate - as my family and I still had not confirmed our moving date. Within the hour, a rep reached out to discuss all the other details and was helpful. From there they kept in touch, checking in to see if a date was set. Once a date was confirmed, I won't lie - there was a slight miscommunication of us asking for 4 movers and the all-inclusive packaging, and what they had written in the initial contract and deposit (3 movers). Once that quickly cleared up, it was smooth sailing. The movers themselves were quick, efficient, and friendly. They arrived on time, were communicative, and made the whole process easy! Thank you!
A note to those planning to move: be prepared to add an hour or two to your estimated total. This is NOT to the fault or cause of the movers themselves. You can be mostly packed and ready to go (like we were)...but unexpected things do happen (in our case, there was construction blocking off our route to our new home) and carefully packing/disassembling/reassembling large items take time!
