I have attended many events since 2023 and met some great folks. This chamber is a mixed bag. Although I have met some good people, their events feature too many games and not enough productive networking. Shortly after I joined I was invited to become an ambassador, then asked not to be an ambassador because I was "the last to join the committee". I have seen some great employees leave. When the rubber meets the road, most of the people I have met at the events have never followed up with me. Update: They continue to repeatedly call me to market events and ask me to register, after I have told them they call too often and asked them to stop calling. New update: They invoiced me for another year. yet never contacted me, never asked me how they could help or how I was going. This chamber of commerce is a scam and has been a waste of time. My advice is to stay way, do not join!

Joining OCC was one of the best decisions as a new resident to the area & being a business owner. The staff is so engaging & are proactive in answering questions & serving in excellence. Love all the support, resources & networking events. Thanks OCC for being a guiding force within the Oak Cliff communities.

The Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce is a scam. They do not actually offer any of the services they claim to. They take money for memberships and then use that money to throw events which are supposed to be your ‘networking opportunities’ but are obviously just another way to promote their organization and trick more people into paying for memberships/tickets.

They do have a sister company called Oak Cliff Works, which they use to do some beneficial things within the community but even then, they do the minimal work required to continue gathering grant money for the organization. As someone who worked there, they do not care about doing community work, they just want to have a 501C3 so they can get more grant money.

If you’re wanting to join a social club and have some extra money in your pocket then this is the place for you! But, you could also just join a golf club and probably get more value out of your money. ?

I worked w/the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce for 5 years.
I left in 2023 due to the fact that so many people had been terminated. Good People. As of today, 9-15-24 several more have been terminated. Believe me, look no further than the President and her less than stellar assistant. They have been involved in activities that lack integrity and human kindness.

Attended a Networking event at the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce. "Coffee and Commerce". The event was very well put together, food was great! served by The Breakfast Brothers. Whitney Williams and Hugh Goree along with other amazing staff made the event very nice. The Oak Cliff Community appreciate you all and thanks for what you do!

I was very excited to join this chamber as a new community outreach program in Dallas, unfortunately once we joined and tried to get a ribbon cutting scheduled, they cancelled on the date we originally had planned and never would get back to us to reschedule the ribbon cutting. It seems like there are plenty of ways to get involved, but I was disappointed with how hard it was to get any response from the chamber when needed.
