We had a very concerning experience with Hooks Title. They missed a lien during the title work process, which nearly led to a foreclosure on our home. Only way we found out was a letter from a law firm. They failed to notify us of their mistake. This kind of oversight is unacceptable, especially in such a critical area of real estate. They were very unhelpful leaving us to deal with the consequences of their error on our own.
I would not recommend Hooks Title to anyone looking for reliable or professional service in handling such an important transaction.

If I could give fewer stars, I would. They botched my land transaction 3 years ago. After trying to homestead my property, the tax assessor notified me that my property still isn't in my name. I notified Hooks of my dilemma, they lost the paperwork, so I had to personally hunt down the two divorced individuals, get them in front of a notary to sign another bill of sale. Then submit it to Hooks. 3 months later and the property is still not in my name. I just took a beating on my taxes because of their failure. To top it all off, they have been unresponsive.

Hooks Title handled the paperwork for the sale of my house. I honestly don't think they have ever attempted a home sale before. The agent assigned my home would not communicate with me. The house closed on the morning of 20 April, today is 14 May I still don't have my copies of the documents. Hooks title didn't bother sending me the documents for my signature until about 25 April. I"m out of town so I understand a slight delay with postage. But shouldn't I have my copy of the documents by now. I have tried several times to call Cheryl, she will not return my calls and only occasional will return an email. I have bought and sold several homes over the years. This is the only closing that has been stressful and problematic. All the problems have been caused by the personnel at Hooks Title simply not caring.
