My husband and I had our destination wedding reception here and it was the absolute best experience!! The managers were very flexible and easy to work with - they also worked really well with our wedding planner who was from out of state. They provided chairs to the off site venue and had employees manage the gate for entrance. We got SO MANY compliments on the food - everyone was saying it was hands down the best food they had ever had at a wedding. There was also ample volumes of food for everyone! The staff were so polite, helpful, and attentive. The ambiance on the upper deck was perfect for our small wedding, and they accommodated my request for a family style dinner. It was the best experience my husband and I could have asked for! Definitely consider Gorge's for your next event or wedding!!

Fries are good, aesthetics and vibe are good. This chicken sandwich is somehow $18, here it is compared to the menu photo. I asked the waitress and she said that is indeed the standard size

We paid $2 for Fetta fries and this is how much Fetta was on them.

Asked for cheese on the side for one of our burgers too and had to scrape it off. We asked for 4 ranch cups multiple times and constantly just received one.

We paid over $100 for our group of 4 and the portions all seem small, maybe times are hard? But definitely not worth eating here for the price

As the owner said it has very pretty views, but that still doesn't excuse the mediocre amount of food you get for the money you pay. Anyone debating on eating here take a look at the tiny tiny portions that gave for a 18$ chicken sandwich, or the slap in the face amount of Fetta you get on your fries

Excellent beer and light food pub! Even though they were fully booked they took our reservation and called us when it was ready. Cool and open interior, great drink selections and only a few food items ( though EXCELLENT burger and fries! ). The employees were just the best and a joy to interact with. Will be sure to visit Gorges Beer Co. every time we’re in the area!

Where do I start? The beer was delicious! I had the Oneonta Falls Hazy and the Hole-In-The-Wall-Falls Juicy IPA. Both were excellent! Food-wise, there were two burgers and the fried chicken sandwich ordered at our table. I had the White Cheddar Bacon Jam burger and let me tell you, AMAZING! The fries were excellent as well. One last comment on the food. The lemonade is hand pressed and oh my was it delightful. Our server was super kind. I'm an hour away from here and can't wait to go back.

Wedding Review July 2024

Our experience as a couple from California having a destination wedding at Gorges Brewery using their outdoor tent venue with about 100 guests.

While there was a lot of good to say, the negatives are what we think will bring the most value to future couples. These are easily fixable issues by the management.

Day of the wedding:

-Event space & bathrooms were not cleaned prior to us setting up the morning of the wedding.

-Continuously empty water stations during a heat wave causing our guests to complain.

-The dinner buffet food trays went empty halfway through the food line and the staff had to go to the brewery to get more food in a van and drive it back to the tent. It was embarrassing for us that our guests couldn’t get food.

-Management did not tell us that the indoor brewery portion would be closed all day (Saturday) for a private event. We had guests show up early to have a beer and were turned away at the door.

-Short Staffed – they had 4 employees working our event of 100 guests. A staff member told us that two employees called out, so they were short staffed.

We do want to give a “Shout Out” to the staff working our event. They were awesome and we appreciated all their hard work.

Post Wedding:

-Travis Preece, the owner, sent us an email claiming we caused “1-2k” worth of damage and he doesn’t have our wedding insurance policy. (We emailed it to him 3 months prior in April). We addressed how we didn’t agree with most of the photos in our response. He claimed that the bride must be a liar about having wedding insurance and that we should just cut him a check for $580 and be done. We reiterated to him that the policy was already sent to him in April and that we hope to have a beer there again someday. His last response was that he found it, and he “never” wants to speak to us again.

For future couples, even though the venue and location are beautiful, the Gorges Brewery is not a 5-star venue & the owner needs to work on his professionalism.

This place was awesome! We went with no intention of having beer, just a quick bite before a hike. Also, traveling with teenagers, first thing our boys noticed was the foosball table. We went upstairs, ordered food and they went back downstairs to play. We decided since the atmosphere was great, kids were having a blast we would try a flight. Each beer we tasted was great. Food came, we all ate, it was yummy, and kids went to finish their competition and try the shuffleboard while we finished our flight. Our server, Bobbie, was attentive, but not overbearing. We highly recommend!!

What a great spot! Staff was really attentive and friendly, the location is amazing with tons of outside (and inside) seating options. A great menu as well, the fruit bruschetta was really good and the fries w/Rosemary & garlic and the bourbon carrots were fantastic. Beers and cocktails were all very good too - highly recommend this stop for a drink and a bite.

We LOVE Gorges Beer Co! The beer, cocktails, food, atmosphere, staff, view…everything deserves 5 stars! They have a dog-friendly patio with a gorgeous view of the river and mountains. They have a delicious avocado salad and the best burger (two of my favorite menu items). Their cocktail list is outstanding, with artistic infusions year around and frozen drinks in the summer. I love the Wildflower Saison and my husband loves the Angel’s Rest IPA. It’s our favorite place to grab a drink and meal after a nearby waterfall hike. The Gorges staff team is always friendly, which makes it so enjoyable to visit there. Thanks Gorges! We love you!
