A great hidden sandwich and pie joint. I found this on Google and have it a try. The brainstorm was great! Lots of meat but had good proportions of meat to veggies and bread. Bread was soft and warm and everything had a great flavor. Will definitely be back again in the future.

This review is strictly on the service today because the food and service is usually not an issue at all here. The young girl named Natalie at the window on 1-11 at 2:30 was rude beyond belief. Slammed the window open and closed, no attempt to be friendly whatsoever and was very blunt. No hello, thank you or anything. This place will continue to get my business because it has always been a pleasure coming here before but this particular employee needs some retraining and to remember without the customers she wouldn't have this job.

Absolutely horrible service at Bumbdoodler's today, young lady at the front seemed to enjoy greeting us with a terrible attitude. Rolling eyes, slamming cups and drawer, acting as if we burdened her the moment we walked in. When confronting her about the bad behavior she got another employee to come take care of us as it seemed a regular occurrence to her. This would be a one star review had not the gentleman who came to take care of us do such a good job mediating the situation. The food might've been enjoyable, I couldn't tell you.

I ordered a rueben sandwich with corned beef, bowl of vegetable soup and a piece of plain cheesecake. Everything was spot on and enough for at least three meals! So good! Thanks! Very happy

This place is delicious! It’s right down the street from the downtown Kerrville. Totally worth the trip. Great sub sandwiches and soups. Fresh made pies too! On a hot day grab your lunch from this local gem!

The food overall is good. We had the Yankee Sandwich. The bread was soft and delicious. The pastrami was really good and had nice flavored. The onions on the sandwich were cut thin and were perfect. The lettuce was not great. Some was vibrant and lucious green and some was yellow and looked not great. I scraped it off. The sandwich could us another layer of meat, but for the very reasonable price I understand the reasoning behind the amount of meat. In fairness, you can probably get extra meat added. The sandwich came with a tasty pickle spear and a sufficient helping of chips.

We also got the bacon and cheese bake potato. Good size quality potato and all of it was delicious, but the bacon had moments of hard to chew. I'm not sure if it was the cut or over cooking etc, but that was the only bad part. Which can easily be corrected or just a bad batch of fresh bacon.

We had the cheesecake and chocolate pie. We love the cheesecake. The chocolate pie was ok, but nothing special.

Overall the place is clean, friendly and plenty of seating for the size of this location.

We will definitely be coming back for more good eats in the future. ?
