I am amazed at the incompetence of this utility company. In an attempt to get power established at a new home, I was unable to reach any customer service representatives. The web site is useless as well. It’s obvious that FPL upper management must be DEI hires. Since they maintain a monopoly on electrical services, there is no incentive to provide competent service. I plan to contact my county and state representatives to file formal complaints. I recommend all other dissatisfied customers do the same.

I was 2 days without electricity when Milton hit us (October 10 and 11).
Today I received an email (red letters) that if I don't pay my bill of $177 dollars they are going to disconnect my electricity service and put additional fees.
Which kind of people are these? After an storm. During those 2 day all the food that I had estored in two refrigerators became rotten and we placed in the trash. I never ask for a return or devolution of my losses.
We are a time, where there is no ethics, compromise, empathy, nothing! Just money- hungry executives in air conditioner offices, doing nothing, except to fill their pockets with our money. No government oversight, no body watches those people that executives that are a pest, malodorous and destroy our society day a day. Nobody noticed that yet? How the FPL rates increase constantly?

Scam Alert!
These people are fraudsters and have absolutely no affiliation with FPL or any legitimate electrical services. They call and deceive people, claiming that their power will be shut off unless they urgently contact a department to verify their information. This is a complete scam. Do not fall for their lies or share any personal information. Stay vigilant and report such activities to the authorities.

I was a loyal customer of FPL for five years without any late or past due premiums until now that I have relocated. I called FPL on 09/19 and spoke to an agent requesting a letter of creditable coverage for current utility provider. To my supervisor it’s only requested one way and that’s fax, no follow up/ notification nor confirmation of LOCC documentation being sent/received. I understand the company is experiencing a lot at the time due to weather conditions but this took place before any storms. I just want these companies to take responsibility. Thank you

I would like to thank Florida power and light for sending out an early response team to our neighborhood due to the devastation of Hurricane Milton. A group from affordable tree service came through and cut down branches and trees and hauled them out to the street in giant piles for later debris pickup. Mark and Matt worked as a great team. Some of the folks were from Tennessee and some from Alabama. We truly appreciate all their help. Affordable tree service did a fantastic job. Really couldn't have done it without them.

I, along with 78 additional homes in my neighborhood, were without power for over SEVEN hours on 9/13. Today, two days later, we are again without power for nearly FOUR hours so far. Same thing happened a month ago and previously a couple of times a year since living at this address. No one has ever provided a legitimate reason OR compensation for the hundreds of dollars of food that’s spoiled. Members of my household are also unable to work remotely. Clearly FPL, being a monopoly, just keeps putting bandaids on an aging system, refusing to fix the issue for good.

This joke of a company just took FOURTEEN DAYS to finally fix a severed neutral line at the pole after fraudulently closing 5-10 separate work orders and doing NOTHING. We spent $200+ with two different electricians just to tell us the same thing that the problem was upstream of our meter and EXACTLY what the problem was: bad neutral. They still ignored us and came out THREE more times before they finally resolved the issue. We had to harass two different FPL supervisors. I called in help from Charlotte County Emergency Management Department to attempt to get more help in making these clowns come and do something.

We’ve submitted an official complaint with the Public Services Commission as well.

Take your BILLION dollar rate/fee begging and shove it where the sun don’t shine, you incompetent clowns!

Fpl is a joke we had a payment arrangement set up we paid the amount on the dates the automated system set and these idiots cut our power off.
