So, I treated my mother and wife out for some BBQ. We saw Misissippi BBQ on Google Maps and said, "Let's try something different." The place was clean but small. It appears to be more of a takeout place rather than a dine in restaurant. We were a bit disappointed with the selection. Most of their menu was pulled pork shredded beef ribs and chicken. They did not have any smoked meats you might expect from a BBQ place like brisket. Their sides were also pretty limited to curly fries or sheet potato chips. I ended up picking the 1/2 BBQ chicken with the sweet potato chips. I will be honest I was a bit underwhelmed with what we got vs. the price. The chicken was overcooked and dry to the point that the BBQ sauce couldn't really help. The sweet potato chips were way too over salted. I could feel my blood pressure rise with each bite.

Our 1st time. Server was very friendly and attentive, even tho it was busy. Place smelled wonderful! BBQ chicken and pulled pork were large portioned, fresh and delicious. Sauces were excellent.
Only a little ding. The naugahyde(?) tablecloths were old and needed replacing in a bad way.
We'll be back!

When we arrived there were only two occupied tables. When our waitress came over she wasn't the friendliest, took our drink and appetizer order. Drinks took a few minutes, and the appitizer took about 30 minutes. Kitchen staff moving like snails.. very rude and speaking loud enough for us to hear using obscene language and we were sitting with our 7 yr old. Waitress never gave an update on why the food was taking so long. When our meal was finally served, this was about 45 minutes after we ordered, we were terribly disappointed. Meats had absolutely no flavor at all, chicken and ribs were completely tasteless. My husband ordered the pork and beef platter, the beef was soggy and just smothered in BBQ sauce and also tasted terrible. The baked beans tasted like it was canned. The wings were good.

My daughter found this spot and asked if we could check it out after her visit to the orthodontist next door. Man! I’m coming all future dental visit she got!
We got lucky and happened in on a Thursday and scored the award winning chili. It’s a must try.

Went for lunch today. Restaurant was clean and appealing. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The food was good not great. The meats tasted store bought not from a BBQ Pit.

I got the rib chicken combo. Sadly it had no smoke or other BBQ tastes except for the sauce. My wife got the pulled pork platter and had the same opinion. Our sides were very good which included Sweet Potato chips, Corn Bread, Mac and Cheese, and Coleslaw. My Sweet Tea was very good as well.

With not many BBQ places to choose from in the area the ribs, bbq chicken sandwich, wings and pulled pork are all amazing. I could bathe in their homemade honey mustard bbq sauce. This isn't fine dining, these other reviewers should try elsewhere based on what they seem to be complaining about, it is a nice laid back date night you can sit inside or outside. The girls are always very nice and have always been served great food!

Had a craving for BBQ and looked up a few places in the area, really glad we chose this one, absolutely fantastic! The food and the service is top notch. I highly recommend the half slab of ribs, more than enough to settle your BBQ hunger and the sides are just right. Thank you so much for everything ❤️

I would give this place a 3.5 if that was an option. The food is good not great. The barbecue pulled pork is good, the savoir was the mustard based barbecue sauce which I usually do not like, but their's was really good. I am pretty sure the sweet tea and lemonade are made from powder. Overall on about the same level as Sonny's.
