Ordered veggie pizza, their guava and Jamaica drink, fries are bomb, and their wings. I really enjoyed the veggie pizza and their fires the best, and the drink was pretty and refreshing. Loved the atmosphere inside. Takes you out of the element of East LA when you step inside. I would come back. I enjoyed the Buffalo wings, too. I'd definitely go back for the pizza, fries, and drink.

Great spot for New York style pizza. They have classic pizza combos and some creative ones. We liked that they have agua frescas here. The guava-jamaica was our favorite.

We started with the caprese salad and chorizo gravy papas (thick fries). We didn’t know that the salad would be served with flatbread but it was delicious! The papas were seasoned with a cajun seasoning and paired nicely with the toppings. The portions of these were great!

We got a classic margherita pizza and their July special that comes with pastrami, honey mustard, pickled onions and cheese. Both were delicious, but we liked the July special one more as it was different than what we normally get at pizza spots.

Ended off the meal with creme brûlée and we were super stuffed at the end of the meal. We took home half of each pizza so we had lunch for the next day. Parking in the area is a bit difficult but worth it for the food here. Can’t wait to come back to try some of their other monthly specials.

The pizza sauce was very well made. This time the pizza was a tad bit burned. The portion size was good. There was a lot of pepperoni where most pizza shops seem to charge by the number of pepperoni. I would repeat here despite the pizza being a tad overcooked. Staff was also friendly!

An excellent pizza place en "La Brooklyn", my old neighborhood. The dough is extra tasty and chewy good. The wood fired wings where meaty, tender and smothered in a honey and fresh diced garlic and olive spread. The chorizo steak fries are a world of chorizo flavor goodness, the fries crispy but soft. I'm still wondering how did they get that chorizo so full bodied.

The fire wood pizza was ok, I was expecting a much better flavor of crunch to it. I was slightly disappointed. Also, when I would take a slice the very little cheese would slip right off. The agua de Jamaica was a little too bitter for my liking and it was much more ice than water itself. The agua de horchata was good.

Visited here before a show at The Paramount. We sat at the bar, the bartender was amazing and helpful. Drinks were amazing and food was even better. Pricing was also great. Will definitely be coming back here again. They even let you take your drinks upstairs.

Brooklyn Ave Pizza Co. delivers a delightful culinary experience, particularly with their unique mole pizza that features sweet and spicy mole. The mole sauce adds an unconventional yet irresistible twist to the pizza, blending sweetness with a kick of spice that tantalizes the taste buds. Complementing the mole is the savory Oaxaca cheese, which brings a rich, creamy texture, enhancing the overall flavor profile of the pizza.
The dough is another high point – nice, chewy, and perfectly charred. This combination of texture and taste ensures that each bite is as satisfying as the last, balancing the rich toppings with a robust base. The char on the dough adds a subtle smokiness, further elevating the pizza's complexity.
Overall, Brooklyn Ave Pizza Co. scores an impressive 8/10 for their innovative approach to pizza, skillful preparation, and quality ingredients. Their ability to fuse traditional elements with unexpected flavors makes for a memorable pizza experience.

This may just be my favorite pizza in L.A. ?
Brooklyn Ave Pizza Co.
4 day fermentation! Sourdough. Unique toppings. Wood fired. Neighborhood guy went to Italy to study pizza making and came back to eventually open this place. (So I heard)
On top of that - great craft cocktails and prices.
I may have had a few happy hour slices (and Mezcal) while I decided and waited for a pie to go. I also may have added my own pine nuts at home. A walk down memory lane to a pizza I used to get in Santa Fe, NM. Nicest staff too! Pizza out. ?
?❤️?
