New on one me and I don't live far but defo go again lonely staff very helpfull and knowledgeable about hhe brewery and all the beer the produce.

Oh and very cool beer glasses you can buy from them as well

While on our visit overseas, we wanted to check out a local craft brewery in Edinburgh, so decided to stop in. Massive brew system and a smaller taproom, with little personality. The beer was good, but the service was bleak and the bartenders were uninterested.

Being a brewer myself, I began asking questions about the brew house they had and one bartender said, "I don't know about our system." I was hoping to generate a conversation and learn more about this brewery, but the discussion fell flat. I wasn't looking for a technical conversation, but it would have been nice to get any sort of interesting discussion going.

The two beers my wife and I had were decent (Lager and Kölsch), but the atmosphere and lack of visible passion definitely led us to leave. The two people behind the bar were more interested in talking with their friend at the bar, and not the people that came in.

As a tourist, I'd recommend trying their beer at other locations that may serve them, but avoid the taproom. You think that going to the source would be the best option, but this was not at all the case. Just disappointed at the lack of care and passion about their own product.

I usually drink Moonwake in the pub. It was my first visit their brewery. This place is a cool place. There are so many different types of beer, and we could taste any beer before we ordered. Staff are friendly and helpful as well. However, we couldn’t order any food in here except the crisps. I would like to visit here again when they serve food!

Tip: It gets cold here, even under the heat lamps but bring a coat and come anyway.

This is a review of the Moonwalk Taproom. Yeah, there's a brewery here and from those clean and shiny vats come some great tasting, local and craft beer.

But what else can I say about the brewery?

I suppose I could say that the open entrance space has been used for a local pop up market and it was petite but fun. There were just a few stalls but each one was local, quality and good.

The main reason, unless you want to look at shiny vats, to visit is the taproom.

The taproom is up a flight of stairs, is on a balcony and overlooks the brewery. Isn't that a great place to enjoy freshly poured pints?

Staff here are friendly and since they make the beer on offer are way more involved than some city centre franchise clone. You can meet the owners here.

Order at the bar or at the table. I've talked through what I feel like and have had recommendations.

Tip: Moonwake is a local treasure, isn't huge so you can strike out and turn up when there are no free tables. Consider getting in touch if you want to bring the office or a group of friends.

Pizza! For at least half the time I've been drinking here there's been a deal with Pizza Geeks. That's a brilliant local pizzeria. Use their app to do an "at table" order.

Frankly, beer from the brewery served with freshly made pizza carried over the bridge from the local restaurant is amazing.

Tip: Follow Moonwake on social media. They're lovely, transparent, informative and it's the best place to keep up with their latest brews and events.

I'm a fan but I'm yet to try their e-commerce offer. If I buy a crate of their beer then I'd drink it!

Always good to visit a new brewery. This one has a very nice taproom. Dress warm. Place is very cold. Beers were OK but nothing special.

Birre buone, il servizio è paragonabile ad una cella frigo per surgelati! I due ragazzi al servizio sembravano infastiditi dal fatto che stavamo disturbando il loro navigare su internet. L'unico sorriso che abbiamo visto è stato quando è arrivato un pacco Amazon per uno dei ragazzi al banco. Glaciale!

Beautiful taproom with an awesome view of the brewery. Chillout music far away from the tourists. Very good draft beers. Order half ones and taste twice as much.

Stopped in and had two great pints (pictured here, the Amarillo DDH Pale). Really impressed by the craft beer scene in Edinburgh on my recent visit.
